The Novel deals with the existing Indian social structure, its set norms, unwritten rules and decorum. The novel tries unveil the hypocrisy of human in social values. It shows the conflict between the blind folded, obedient followers of the established traditional living pattern especially the previous generation with the modern scientifically enlightened and westernized new generation regarding marital and family systems.
