The book is the outcome of the detailed doctorate study of Dr.Atindra Sarvadikar under the guidance of Pandita Prabhatai Atre.     The book comprises detailed information about Kirana Gharane, its origin and the great stalwarts of this gharana.     It also describes the various characteristics of each gharana style and the guru-shishya nomenclature of all the gharanas.     At the end, 48 compositions (bandish words) of Pt. Phiroj Dastoor ji are given and they are sung in the CD which is accompanied with a book.     Few samples in Raag Ahir-Bhairav, Lalat, Gavati, Kalavati and Mishra Pilu are given below for reference.
