A compilation of selected stories by Datt Raghunath Kavathekar by V. S. Khandekar. Kavathekar is one of the pioneers in Marathi literature. He wrote extensively about Indian women. His writing mainly had the shade of compassion. He has always succeeded in showing the bright and virtuous side as well. This book consists of seven stories from four of his books. His writing is simple and lucid. It resembles the mild, spontaneous and refreshing rains. There is no thundering of clouds, no lightening in the skies, no harsh winds and no heavy rainfall. Yet, Shravana is one of the best seasons with the play of rain and light.
